Mount Pleasant FA opened up a six point lead atop the Wray and Nephew Jamaica Premier League (JPL) standings after beating Vere United 3-0 at the Wembley Centre on Wednesday.
Miguel Joseph with his first goal of the season, Raheem Williams and Franco Celestin, were the goal scorers for Mount Pleasant who are now on 72 points.
Portmore United bounced back to winning ways following two games without a win, beating Molynes United 1-0.
Shaquwell Henry got the winner in the 52nd minute. Portmore are now on 57 points, while Molynes remained in the relegation zone on 29 points.
Harbour View picked a valuable point in their quest to survive relegation as they ended 0-0 with Racing United.
Harbour View are on 32 points, three above relegation, while Racing moved to 45 points, one below the playoff places.
The league continues on Thursday with four matches. Second placed Arnett Gardens will play away to Humble Lion and sixth placed Tivoli Gardens host fifth placed Cavalier at the Edward Seaga Complex. Dunbeholden are at home to Chapelton and Waterhouse host Montego Bay United at Drewsland at 6:00 pm.
