Oberlin and Immaculate are ISSA badminton champions

Oberlin High and Immaculate are the national school boys and girls ISSA Badminton champions following the conclusion of the league recently. Calabar who defeated Oberlin in the Eastern Zone final, were on the receiving end this time, going down 3-1.

With the scores tied at 1-1, Oberlin clinched the match-up when they won the last two doubles games. It was Oberlin's third national championship success in the last five years. 

In the girls section Immaculate were dominant, winning all three matches in straight sets, led by Andrea Walker and Trecia Yee. The Constant Spring-based team achieved championship success in 67 minutes when they beat Bishop Gibson 3-0.
