Report by RJRGLEANER Communications Group Sports Reporter Denise Walters

The demolition of the old tote board at Caymanas Park is now underway after it was destroyed by a lizard in a bizarre incident a year and  half ago.

The old tote board which had been in place for over 30 years,  provided punters with race day information on odds, results and dividends.

The demolition process, expected to be completed at the end of this month and will not affect the installation of the new digital board and its placement on the infield.

The old tote that was put in place during the period of 1989-1991. The new board to be installed will cost approximately $40 million.
