Uncertainty surrounds Stona's immediate future in track and field

Voice of Olympic men's discus champion Roje Stona

Although he enjoyed the best season of his career in which he won gold in the men's discus at the Paris Olympics and was recently crowned Jamaica's National Sportsman of the Year, Roje' Stona's immediate future in track and field remains uncertain.

Stona says American Football remains his immediate focus. He's one of 14 athletes currently involved in a 10-week camp being run by the NFL International Player Pathway (IPP) programme with the aim of earning an NFL contract in Florida.

However, the 25 year old who threw a games record of 70 metres to win in Paris, is not ruling out a return to the discus circle.

The IPP camp started in January and will run until March when the 14 participants will showcase their skills at the University of South Florida's pro day.
