The University of Technology should begin accessing the Trelawny-Multipurpose Stadium facility by September.
This is part of an agreement between the University of Technology (Utech) and the Jamaica government to use lands adjacent to the Trelawny stadium and its facilities for a western campus.
Major Desmon Brown is the general manager of Independence Park limited, which also has oversight for the multipurpose facility.
He explained that although certain strategic details have not been finalised, Utech will begin accessing the facility by September.
Utech president, Professor Errol Morrison says in addition to the use of the various sports facilities, discussions are near completion for the educational aspect of the proposal.
