Vere, Manning's and Frome into DaCosta Cup quarter final round

Vere, Manning’s and Frome Technical are the latest teams to book a quarter final round place in the ISSA DaCosta Cup on Wednesday. 

Vere Technical clipped Old Harbour High 1-0 in Zone “F” to cement their spot into the next round, while Manning’s blanked Green Pond 4-0 and Frome defeated Petersfield 4-1.

Manchester High are now a point away from securing their ticket to the next round, following their 3-1 win over Bellefield in Zone "D". Irwin improved their chances in Zone "A" with a 3-0 win over Spot Valley.

Former champions STETHS outscored BB Coke 3-2 in their 4-team playoff to move atop zone c in the competition.

STETHS moved to 13 points, one more than Munro College who fell to second after their 4 match win streak ended in a 2-1 defeat to Lacovia High.

Elsewhere on the day, leaders Happy Grove defeated Port Antonio 4-1 in Zone “G” where St Thomas Technical and Seaforth also played to a 2-2 draw.

Over in Zone “H” Brown’s Town clipped York Castle 1-0, while Christiana High blanked Decarteret College 2-0 in Zone “D”.

Holmwood blanked Alston 7-0 in Zone "D"; Garvey Maceo made it six straight wins with a 4-0 beating of Foga Road, while Ocho Rios were outscored 3-2 by McGrath in Zone "F".
