Windies coach in self-isolation

Voice of West indies fast bowler Alzarri Joseph

West Indies coach Phil Simmons is in self-isolation at his Old Trafford hotel room as a health precaution ahead of the team's four day intra-squad warm-up match, on starting on Monday.

Simmons left the West Indies' bubble to attend a funeral on Friday, and has been self-isolating since then in his room on-site.

He will watch the upcoming game from his balcony this week, and will be permitted to rejoin the group on Thursday if he returns two negative COVID-19 tests.

However, fast bowler Alzarri Joseph says Simmons' absence will not hamper their preparations.

Joseph who is under the guidance of bowling coach Roddy Estwick says adjusting to the conditions will be key.
