World Relays team members disgruntled over travel arrangements

Report by RJRGLEANER Communications Group Sports Reporter Jordan Forte

The majority of Jamaica's team to the IAAF World Relays left the island on Tuesday, en route to Yokohama, Japan but it's their flight arrangements and not the competition that's on the forefront of their minds. It’s understood that the athletes won't actually arrive in japan until Thursday which has left some senior members of the squad disgruntled, as competition is set to begin on Saturday.

The nation has a 55-member contingent made up of 40 athletes and 15 officials heading to the competition in Japan. The IAAF World Relays will run from May 11-12 in Yokohama with live and exclusive coverage on TVJ.
