The team from the Fast and Furious franchise has taken a break from racing cars to embark on a social media war of words.
It all started with the news that Fast and Furious 9 was being pushed back a year, followed shortly by the news that the Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham would instead release a spinoff taking over the Furious 9 release date.
Though it may be a smart move on Universal's part to expand the $1 billion franchise, Fast and Furious family member Tyrese Gibson is not pleased.
He took to Instagram to candidly pin the blame for the Fast 9 move on Johnson, accusing the actor of hogging the spotlight.
Then in another post, Gibson went so far as to claim that he and others were offered a spinoff years ago and turned it down to keep the family together.
