Streaming service Netflix says more than 45 million accounts on its service have watched its latest original movie, the psychological horror film Bird Box.
The thriller follows Sandra Bullock as she tries to survive an unseen presence that causes people to kill themselves.
According to Netflix, Bird Box broke its record for the most-watched Netflix film over the course of seven days.
It premiered on the site on December 21.
Industry sources say if every one of those 45 million views were turned into a movie ticket, it would have a one week total of over $411 million, the biggest opening week in box-office history.
The memes for the movie took over social media, prompting more people to watch the film.
