Air Ja now operating under Caribbean Airlines "BW" code

Starting Friday Air Jamaica flights will operate under Caribbean Airlines  'BW' code. This is part of  the ongoing integration of  the carriers.

The Trinidad and Tobago owned-Caribbean Airlines in May finalised its acquisition of Air Jamaica.

Regarding both carriers' operating on the same code, Acting CEO of  Caribbean Airlines, Robert Corbie, said the entity continues to pursue its philosophy of  'one airline, two brands.'

In addition to operating under the same flight code, Caribbean Airlines and Air Jamaica are moving towards one fleet type.

Caribbean Airlines earlier this year finalised an agreement to order nine ATR 72-600s, some of  which it said could operate on Air Jamaica routes.

Deliveries are scheduled to begin in October
