Caribbean Cement Company on Thursday officially launched its $6.7 billion Debottleneck Project to boost production capacity and efficiency at its Rockfork facility.
The initiative aims to meet increasing local cement demand and support Jamaica's infrastructure goals.
At the commissioning, Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness highlighted the project's role in advancing industrialisation, self-sufficiency and economic growth emphasizing its importance to the construction sector.
Managing Director of Carib Cement, Jorge Martinez, saiid this expansion project will be one of the largest and most transformative in the recent history of the company.
