AMG Packaging and Paper Company recorded net profit after tax of $19.2 million for the three months ended August 31, 2025.
This was a sharp decline from the $38.7 million in the corresponding period last year.
Revenues for the quarter stood at $209.5 million compared to $234.7 million a year earlier.
The company says the reduced profit was mainly driven by higher costs, with inventories rising to $93.9 million from $89.9 million in the prior year.
Total expenses also increased to $51.4 million up from $46.6 million reflecting higher administrative costs.
Despite a decline in direct manufacturing costs to $45.6 million, down from $49.5 million, the overall expense uptake weighed heavily on the company's bottom line.
