An International Monetary Fund delegation ended a one week virtual mission to Barbados today that could result in the island receiving US$75 million in future assistance from the Washington-based financial institution.
According to a statement issued by the head of the delegation, Pablo Morra, a staff-level agreement has been reached with Bridgetown following the completion of the second review of the Extended Fund Facility and the Resilience and Sustainability Facility.
The staff-level agreement is subject to approval by the IMF executive board, which is expected to consider the review in December.
