Business chambers in the Caribbean, Africa and South Asia forming commonwealth-wide organization

Business chambers in the Caribbean, Africa and South Asia are joining forces in an effort to boost the trade of goods and services among their regions.

The Commonwealth Coalition of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CCCCI) was  launched Thursday, November 5 in Antigua & Barbuda by representatives of business entities including the Network of Caribbean Chambers of Commerce, the Pan African Chamber of Commerce & Industry, and the Chamber of Commerce & Industry in South Asia.

Lisa Fabian, a spokesperson on the initiative, said, while the Commonwealth represents a remarkable network of nations, markets, institutions, and people, there are several opportunities that exist that have not yet been explored.

She said these represent a considerable untapped potential, with opportunities for greater trade, for investment, business partnerships, even private sector cooperation.
