The Rockfort-based Caribbean Cement Company Limited consolidated net profits after taxation of $7.2 billion on revenues of $27.5 billion during the nine-month period which ended on September 30.
This amount was more than the $4.8 billion recorded on revenues of $24.4 billion during the same period last year, due to sustained demand for cement and the company's dominance in the local cement market.
The company's gross profits also jumped to $12.1 billion, despite an increase in the cost of goods sold to $154 billion from $15 billion last year.
Its administrative expenses also dipped to $916 million this year, from $977 million last year, while its selling expenses fell to $146.6 million from $169.5 million.
