Education technology company EduFocal has reported a return to operating profitability in 2025 after completing a major restructuring aimed at creating a leaner and more sustainable business.
The company also reported that its net loss narrowed by 49 per cent $29.4 million, compared with $58 million in 2024.
Although revenue declined 28 per cent to $70.3 million, EduFocal says the reduction reflected its deliberate move away from one-off project contracts towards more predictable recurring revenue streams.
Administrative and operating expenses were slashed by 86 per cent, falling to $46.4 million, helping to restore operating profitability.
Despite the improved operating performance, the company says its balance sheet remained its biggest challenge. Finance costs of $29.6 million continued to weigh on profitability, while auditors have highlighted uncertainty over the company's ability to continue as a going concern.
