The International Energy Agency is warning that Europe could run critically low on jet fuel within weeks if supply disruptions persist.
According to the agency, current stock levels could reach a tipping point as early as June, unless at least half of the region's usual imports from the Middle East are replaced.
The concern follows ongoing disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz, a key shipping route for fuel exports from the Gulf, which has been effectively closed for more than six weeks amid tensions involving Iran, the United States and Israel.
