First Global Bank Limited, Jamaica's second-smallest commercial bank, is aiming to expand its network through a system of mini branches that will piggyback on existing infrastructure occupied by sister companies within the GraceKennedy family.
The goal is for 28 sub-branches by the end of next year.
The bank already operates seven branches in four urban centres - Kingston, Mandeville, Ocho Rios and Montego Bay.
The first of the mini branches, which will be branded as 'First Global Money Link', opened on Thursday at Paper Gold Limited, in Cross Roads which GraceKennedy Money Services, GKMS, already operates.
A second Money Link branch is already scheduled to open on August 9 in Santa Cruz, St. Elizabeth, also at a GKMS location.
