General Accident Insurance Company Jamaica increased shareholding in General Accident Insurance Company

General Accident Insurance Company Jamaica says the company increased its shareholding in General Accident Insurance Company Trinidad & Tobago to 75 per cent.

The deal was effective December 31, last year.

General Accident Insurance Company Jamaica acquired a majority stake in Motor One Insurance Company, a Trinidadian motor insurance company headquartered in Port of Spain, in 2019.

In that deal General Accident acquired a 55 per cent stake in Motor One with the remaining 45 per cent of the shares acquired by Micon Marketing.

Now Micon's shareholding has been reduced further to 25 per cent.
