Condé Nast Traveler on Tuesday announced that Jamaica had taken the Top Resorts in the Caribbean award.
Eight properties in Jamaica received the prestigious awards, including Jakes Hotel, Villas and Spa; GoldenEye; Rockhouse Hotel; Jamaica Inn; Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall; Round Hill Hotel and Villas; The Caves; and Couples Swept Away.
Director of Tourism Paul Pennicook, said the eight awards signify that Jamaica remains at the pinnacle of hospitality in the Caribbean.
More than 300,000 readers – nearly twice as many as last year – cast votes for 7,394 hotels, 606 cities, 500 cruise ships, and 236 islands in the 29th annual Condé Nast Readers’ Choice Awards.
