Jamaica Producers Group has recorded a strong financial performance for 2025, reporting net profit attributable to shareholders of J$2.3 billion, a 42 per cent increase over the previous year.
Chairman Charles Johnston told the company's annual general meeting that the results reflect continued growth in its investment in Pan Jamaica Group, as well as disciplined capital management across its portfolio.
Mr. Johnston said the performance underscores the resilience of the Group's diversified strategy, even in the face of challenges including Hurricane Melissa.
A major driver of earnings was the Group's 34.6 per cent stake in Pan Jamaica Group, with its share of profits rising 38 per cent to $2.2 billion.
The company secured a beach licence, began sub-division planning, and launched work on a commercial centre and gas station project, alongside a long-term land use plan covering agricultural, residential, commercial and renewable energy development.
He said Jamaica Producers Group will continue to support Pan Jamaica Group's expansion while pursuing value from its own land assets and maintaining a conservative investment approach.
