The directors of Jamaica Fibreglass Products Limited (JFP) are reporting reduced loss for the third quarter, ended September 30.
For the three-month period, the company posted a net loss of $56.7 million on revenues of $257.8 million.
JFP says the loss came after administrative expenses of $162.1 million and selling and distribution expenses of $9.1 million, bringing total expenses to $171.2 million.
That resulted in an operating loss of $47.3 million, which was further impacted by finance costs of $13.9 million, partly offset by finance income of $4.6 million.
The directors note that this represents an improvement over the corresponding quarter in 2024 when the company recorded a net loss of $65.8 million on revenue of $323 million.
In that period, administrative and selling expenses totalled $161.7 million, leading to an operating loss of $50.1 million.
