JSE Index advanced by 1,042 points on Monday

The JSE Index advanced by 1,042 points on Monday, while the Junior Market Index advanced by 23 points.

There was trading in 122 stocks, of which 49 advanced, 54 declined and 19 traded firm.

NCB Financial Group led the volume leaders.
