Chairman of the Jamaica Stock Exchange, Steven Whittingham, says the country needs to train more accountants and auditors.
He asserts that the shortage of these professionals contributes to companies experiencing challenges in filing their audited financial reports on time.
However, the JSE chairman stressed that the delinquency is not widespread as it included only eight companies overall; but 75 per cent or six of the eight are listed on the Junior Market.
