More than 5,000 jobs promised for Raintree Commercial Complex

The Government is promising the creation of more than five thousand jobs from the development of the Raintree Commercial Complex in Ferry St. Catherine.

Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness broke ground on Wednesday for the UDC-managed development.

He said the jobs will be created during the construction phase and following completion of the project.

The Prime Minister says the complex is expected to attract billions in capital investments.

The Raintree complex represents the first phase of a wider transformation of more than three thousand acres of developable land in the Ferry Pen area.

It will provide lots for commercial and light industrial purposes with all essential amenities in place.
