PriceSmart is reporting strong financial growth for its third quarter, as the warehouse club operator prepares to expand its presence in Jamaica with two new locations.
In Jamaica, PriceSmart is preparing to open two new clubs — one in Montego Bay and another on South Camp Road in Kingston.
The company is also planning a new distribution centre in Jamaica during the 2026 financial year, as part of efforts to strengthen its regional logistics network.
For the quarter ended May 31, PriceSmart recorded total revenues of US$1.48 billion, representing growth of 12.5 per cent compared with the same period last year.
Net merchandise sales also increased 12.5 per cent to US$1.45 billion, while sales at clubs open for more than 13 and a half months rose 10.7 per cent.
For the first nine months of the financial year, PriceSmart reported revenues of US$4.36 billion, an increase of 10.7 per cent, with net income totaling 128.9 million US dollars.
