Research shows Trump’s proposed global tariffs could slash US GDP by $325 billion

Research indicates that former US President Donald Trump's trade policies to implement a 100% tariff or customs tax on all goods imported from China as well as a 10% tariff on goods imported from all other parts of the world, including Jamaica, would lead to a $325 billion dip in US GDP.

It would also result in an increase in the cost of living for the average American of about $2,000 per year as well as an acceleration in inflation.
