United Oil and Gas says it is continuing efforts to secure a partner for its Walton-Morant oil exploration licence offshore Jamaica, which the company estimates contains about seven billion barrels of prospective resources.
In its first-half 2026 results, the company says a seabed geochemical exploration survey, including piston coring, was completed in February without any environmental incidents.
United says analysis of the samples has provided additional information to support its ongoing evaluation of the licence and its farm-out process.
The company has also appointed NRG Well Management to assess drilling rig and long-lead equipment availability for a potential future exploration programme.
The study will focus primarily on the Colibri prospect, with estimated mean prospective resources of 406 million barrels, and the Thunderball lead, estimated at 603 million barrels.
United says the two prospects together contain more than one billion barrels of gross unrisked mean prospective resources.
The company says any future drilling will be subject to government approvals and commercial agreements.
