Thirty-three people have been charged with participating in a guns and drugs trafficking ring, based out of a truck, selling Jamaican food, that for years was parked just outside the city courthouse in Newburgh, New York.
Law enforcement officials announced the charges on Wednesday, eight days after hundreds of agents conducted the sweep in multiple areas across Newburgh, attracting widespread attention.
Orange County authorities refused to share details of the operation last week.
But at a news conference on Wednesday they announced 30 people were arrested that day — three participants remain at large.
The authorities seized 11 kilogrammes of cocaine, 90 grams of fentanyl, seven firearms, approximately $45,000 in cash and 11 vehicles, including the food truck.
The Orange County Sheriff's Office, the Orange County district attorney's office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives conducted the operation May 21, which followed a six-month investigation that involved wiretaps, undercover officers and search warrants.
Police previously seized 24 firearms and another kilogramme of cocaine during the investigation, which they named Operation Hot Lunch.
