Radio Jamaica News has been informed that the police have intercepted another shipment of weapons into the island.
Police and Customs officials swooped down on a warehouse on Industrial Terrace in Kingston on Wednesday morning, seizing a shipment of goods that included weapons.
The Police High Command has not yet released details on the operation.
Another shipment of weapons was seized at the same warehouse last month.
Fifteen handguns, two rifles - identified as M4 and AK-47 models - and 29 magazines were seized.
The shipment originated in New York in the United States. It also contained 141 rounds of ammunition.
