NCB Capital Markets to provide cash upfront to companies while they await payment by government

NCB Capital Markets is moving to help companies that are owed money by the Government to access cash before their invoices are paid.

The investment arm of National Commercial Bank Jamaica says it is starting the initiative with Medical Link, by providing financing against money owed to the company by the Government.

NCB Capital Markets says the arrangement will give Medical Link greater cash flow to pay suppliers, employees and other stakeholders, while pursuing new business opportunities.

Medical Link Managing Director Paula Walker says the agreement provides greater flexibility in accessing funds tied up in government receivables.

NCB Capital Markets CEO Angus Young says cash flow is critical to the sustainability of businesses, particularly micro, small and medium-sized enterprises.
