Belize: Probe continues into allegations against minister

Attorney General of Belize, Anthony Sylvestre, says the investigation into the allegations against the embattled Minister of Blue Economy and Civil Aviation, Andre Perez, is ongoing and will be done in a timely manner.

Prime MInister John Briceño accepted a request from Mr Perez last month for a leave of absence from the Cabinet that would facilitate the probe.

The Minister is embroiled in a scandal involving a female attorney who has made allegations against him.

The attorney reportedly shared graphic descriptions in her account of what purportedly took place involving Mr Perez.
