Blake on route to JA?

Vivian Blake, former head of the infamous "Shower Posse", is expected to arrive in Jamaica Wednesday.

Blake who was recently released from prison in the United States after serving time for drug trafficking and murder, is expected to arrive on a special flight from the US.

Sources told RJR News that the convicted gangster is expected to be among 50 deportees arriving on Wednesday.

The local police and US authorities have been tight lipped on his return.

Blake's attorney, David Rowe told our News centre that the parties have a bilateral secrecy agreement on his travel arrangement.

The local police are expected to place Blake under the country's programme to monitor deportees considered high risk.

The former Tivoli Gardens strongman was sentenced to 28 years in federal prison in a Miami Federal Court in June 2000.

He served just nine years of that sentence after turning state's witness.

He had been indicted in the US 12 years earlier, but fled to Jamaica where he had been hiding until his capture.
