Cell phone found on remanded gang leader

The reputed head of the Spanish Town-based Klansman Gang Tesha Miller has found himself in more trouble even while he is behind bars.

Mr. Miller was allegedly found with the phone hidden in his rectum.

The discovery was made during a search at the maximum security facility on Sunday night.

This was confirmed Monday by Head of the Department of Correctional Services Major Richard Reese.

Prison officials are trying to ascertain how Mr. Miller was able to enter the facility without the phone being detected.

RJR News has been informed that checks are also being done on the calls made from the phone while Mr. Miller was in custody.

Revoke Miller's bail

The court is to rule Tuesday whether bail granted to Mr. Miller should be revoked.

The police said he breached the curfew order which states that he should be at home between 6pm and 6am.

Mr. Miller's arrest sparked a protest by residents who converged on the Spanish Town Police Station on Saturday evening.

They also used debris to block roads in the town, forcing business operators to close their shutters.

The police and military have been keeping a close watch on the communities of Rivoli, March Pen and De la Vega City which are known strongholds of the Klansman Gang.
