Justice Minister Delroy Chuck

Justice Minister Delroy Chuck says the commissioners of the Integrity Commission must bring clarity to the operations of the entity.
The chairman and the commissioners are to appear before the Integrity Commission Oversight Committee of the House of Representatives.
This comes on the heels of the commission's investigation report on the statutory declarations of Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness.
Mr. Chuck says there is uncertainty surrounding how the commission determines that an investigation is to be conducted and treatment of the information unearthed.
"When a Director of Investigation completes a report, is that the final thing or the commissioners operate as an appeal body to edit the report or to say this is not complete? How do they operate in terms of what comes to Parliament and when it comes to Parliament? These are questions that we need to find out from the commissioners.
"Are you operating like an appeal body and you finalise the report? Is the content of the report your final ruling? Do you ask that the matter be investigated again or does the Director of Investigations, like the Direction of Corruption [Prosecution], have a final position?" Mr. Chuck questioned.
He was speaking Wednesday on Radio Jamaica's Beyond the Headlines.
