Clarendon chef to stand trial for wife's murder, arson

A court has ruled that Clarendon chef Anray Williams, who is accused of killing his wife and setting their Frankfield home on fire, has a case to answer and should stand trial.

The decision was made in the Clarendon Parish Court on Wednesday.

The matter was transferred to the Clarendon Circuit Court for trial on April 21.

Williams, who is charged with murder and arson, is being represented by attorney-at-law Odane Marston.

Allegations are that about 12:20 a.m. on April 8, 2025, Williams got into a dispute with his wife, 33-year-old Judian Guthrie-Williams, during which he allegedly used a knife to cut her throat before setting the house on fire.

Mr. Williams later surrendered to the police.

He was subsequently charged.
