Corporal Judith Williams who was shot dead by gunmen late last month in McIntyre Villa, East Kingston is being buried today.
Among those to pay respect at the funeral held at the Seventh Day Adventist Church on Hagley Park Road are senior members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force and National Security Minister, Robert Montague.
A policeman is being questioned in connection with her death.
Another funeral service is also underway - that of 8 yeear old Port Henderson Primary student, Kemeisha Butler who died in March under controversial circumstances is also being buried today.
Meanwhile, the Ministry and the Office of the Children's Advocate have been investigating Kemeisha's death.
In giving an update on the probe early this month, Children's Advocate, Diahann Gordon-Harrison, said based on the post mortem report a pre-existing medical condition was the likely cause of Kemeisha's death.
Butler claimed her daughter was punished for disobeying her teacher's instruction during Physical Education.
It was reported that the teacher instructed the child to hold her head up and stare at thee sun with her arms stretched out.
According to the Kemeisha's mother, she experienced seizures and died two days later.
A brain scan revealed she had a tumour.
