Custos condemns killing of 9 year-old Clarendon boy

 
Custos of Clarendon William Shagoury has condemned Friday's murder of a nine year-old Shamar Walker at Church Street, May Pen.
 
A 29 year-old woman was also wounded in the shooting. 
 
It's reported that about 7:45, a group of people were at the shop in a yard when a man entered and fired into the crowd.
 
Shamar ran from the yard, but was chased and shot in the his chest. 
 
Ms Hamilton, a vendor, was found with from multiple bullet wounds. 
 
They were rushed to hospital where the child was pronounced dead.
 
In condemning the senseless killing of the nine year-old boy, Mr Shagoury expressed hope that the gunman will be quickly captured, stressing that "this kind of behavior cannot be condoned, and we should never ever allow persons like that to get away with what they have done."
 
"This is a very sad day for the parish," he said, while expressing condolence to the child's family.
