Some pensioners will see a delay in receiving their NIS benefits this month.
Officials of the Ministry of Labour & Social Security have confirmed that those who receive their payments by direct deposit will be affected.
The Ministry is blaming unforeseen technical challenges beyond its control for the delay.
While no date has been given for the resumption of payments, the Ministry says it is working urgently to resolve the issue and have the funds delivered to the remaining pensioners as soon as possible.
