A former male student of the University of the West Indies is dead and another man has been arrested, following a dispute Saturday night.
RJR News has been informed that the dead student, 21-year-old Alex Brown, of Brown's Town in St. Ann, went to visit a female, also reportedly a UWI student from Trinidad, in Elletson Flats in St. Andrew.
While he was at the location, another man, reportedly a 26-year-old swim coach of Harbour View, in East Kingston, turned up.
A dispute ensued and Mr. Brown was stabbed in the chest with a knife, reportedly by the swim coach.He was taken to the hospital by the police and later died.
The swim coach was arrested by the Papine police, who are investigating the incident.
