Driver injured in three-truck collision in Spur Tree, Manchester

A man has been taken to hospital for treatment following a three-truck collision on the Spur Tree main road in Manchester on Thursday morning.
 
The injured man is the driver of one of the trucks.
 
It's reported that sometime after 8 a.m., a fuel tanker and two delivery trucks were travelling in a westerly direction, when they crashed in the vicinity of the All Seasons restaurant.
 
A restaurant employee said she was in the kitchen when she heard a crashing sound. When she looked outside, she saw goods littered on the road and realised the trucks has collided. 
 
The delivery trucks were extensively damaged, while the tanker had minor damage.
 
The injured driver was removed from the wreck by firefighters and taken to hospital.
 
The cause of the crash is being investigated.
