Early childhood school vandalised in St. Elizabeth

Rose Miller, Secretary at Roseville Play and Learn Early Childhood and Preparatory School

An early childhood institution in Santa Cruz, St. Elizabeth was vandalised over the weekend.

The thieves stole snacks, damaged a door and ransacked offices at the Roseville Play and Learn Early Childhood and Preparatory School.

The school is conducting a further assessment of the damage, which was discovered on Monday.

Its secretary, Rose Miller, told Radio Jamaica News that it was the third time this year that the school had been targeted.

Ms Miller said the school was also vandalised two weeks ago, and similar to that time, it appears the thieves spent the weekend.

"They eat all the snacks in our sick bay. They take all the snacks there and they eat and throw down and ravel the bed," she revealed, noting that the school would have to dispose of the sheets like it had done after the last incident.

She said in January, the school was robbed of five computers, two printers and a scanner.
