Three Caribbean countries were rocked by three powerful earthquakes, including two during a 17-minute interval, on Monday.
There were no immediate reports of injury or damage.
The Seismic Research Centre says the first quake, with a magnitude 6.7, occurred at 8:38 a.m. at a depth of 12 kilometres.
It says the tremor was felt in Guadeloupe, Dominica and Antigua and Barbuda.
The SRC said the other strong quake, which occurred at 8:55 a.m., had a magnitude 6.1 and again affected the same three Caribbean countries.
It had a depth of 29 kilometres.
The third quake, which occurred at 8:46 a.m., had a magnitude of 5.2 and a depth of 14 kilometres.
The same three countries were affected.
Residents in other countries including Martinique, St. Lucia and St. Kitts-Nevis also reported feeling the tremors.
