Energised base key to PNP's improved polling numbers - Campbell

PNP General Secretary Dr Dayton Campbell

The People's National Party has attributed the progress represented in the latest Don Anderson polls to the continuous work of the party to energise its base.

This comment follows release of the latest  PNP commissioned Don Anderson poll.

This poll shows a surge of support for the PNP among potential voters, which now sees the opposition party having a near eight per cent lead over the governing Jamaica Labour Party.

PNP General Secretary Dr Dayton Campbell, responding Monday on Radio Jamaica's Beyond the Headlines, said the party was encouraged by the findings, but will not be complacent.

He also declared that the PNP will also be seeking to reach undecided persons.

Candidates

Dr Campbell revealed as well that the PNP is working to conclude candidate selection in five constituencies.

He said the party was hoping to complete that process in short order.
