Ferncourt High student hospitalised following fight with schoolmates

A student of Ferncourt High School in St. Ann has been admitted to hospital in serious condition following a brawl between two groups of students from the institution on Wednesday.

Two others were taken to hospital but they have been treated and released.

According to the police, there has been a feud involving the boys since Tuesday. They say it spilled over into the streets.

About 3:30 p.m., the boys attacked each other with knives and other weapons.

One boy received a serious laceration to his face, while the other two received other injuries.

Efforts to get a comment from Reverend Lenworth Sterling, the school's principal, proved futile.
