The final audit and evaluation of the Public Sector Transformation Implementation Project is to be conducted in the upcoming fiscal year.
The project is aimed at improving the delivery of public service in Jamaica by enhancing the quality of transactional services and efficiency in public spending.
Up to December 2023, the new compensation structure, including the rationalisation of allowances to public sector workers, was implemented and a Job Evaluation Factor Plan to evaluate jobs across the public sector was developed.
The Public Sector Transformation Implementation Project is being funded by the Government of Jamaica and the Inter-American Development Bank.
The project, which initially ran from January 2018 to January 2024, has been extended to June 2024.
