Five-year-old boy and uncle killed in two-vehicle crash

Two people, including a five-year-old boy, are dead and a third person is in hospital following a two-vehicle collision along the Fullerswood road in St. Elizabeth on Thursday.
 
The deceased have been identified as five-year-old Christopher Gallimore of Arlington and his uncle Jaswayne Rowe, of Slipe both of St. Elizabeth.
 
According to reports, Mr. Rowe was transporting his nephew home from Santa Cruz Prep when he attempted to overtake a vehicle and crashed into a pickup which had been travelling in the opposite direction.
 
The injured people were transported to Black River Hospital where the boy and Mr. Rowe died while undergoing treatment.
 
The driver of the pickup was treated and admitted.
 
St. Elizabeth has recorded 11 road fatalities since the start of the year.
