A 17 year old male student of the Old Harbour
High School in St.
Catherine remains hospitalised in serious condition after he was stabbed by his
17-year old female schoolmate at the school on Tuesday.
Both students, who are in Grade 11, reportedly got into an altercation after the girl, who is a member of the football team, slapped the boy.
The girl reportedly left the classroom and returned with a knife which was allegedly given to her by one of her friends.
She reportedly stabbed the boy from behind, in the region of his abdomen.
He was rushed to hospital where he was admitted.
The girl was later arrested.
