Police in Grenada believe the motive for the recent increase in gun-related killings is drug-related.
The officer in charge of operations and crimes, Superintendent Esau Pierre, says intelligence suggests that the incidents were not random acts, most having a connection to organised crime.
From May 1 to 12, three men lost their lives to gun violence, while several others sustained injuries in acts reportedly involving masked men.
Superintendent Pierre says that in response to these crimes, the police are adjusting their strategies to keep the country safe.
